This school year, international students joined us from 13 different countries, including Austria, Bahamas, Cayman Islands, China, Ethiopia, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Japan, Poland, Slovenia, and Spain.

Application
Fill out the , providing all the required personal and academic information.
We also accept applications through the (SAO). Any documents uploaded to the SAO will automatically be transferred to the student’s Chatham Hall application. Families can schedule campus tours and interviews and register for our upcoming events through our website without submitting an application.

Records & Letters of Recommendation
Submit transcripts and academic records from your previous schools, including report cards and certificates of completion. Students must submit a letter of recommendation from their current math teacher, English teacher, and principal/head of school.
English Language Proficiency
If English is not your student's first language, please provide English Proficiency Test scores, such as , , , or equivalent English language proficiency test scores. Chatham Hall’s school code is 0799. Chatham Hall is test-optional, but we welcome your language testing. In certain cases, we may request scores following your interview.
Application Fee
Submit the application fee, which covers the processing of your application. The application fee is $175 for international applicants.

Interview in person or through a video call with our Admissions Team.
Acceptance & Enrollment
Once you receive an acceptance decision, confirm your enrollment by paying the necessary enrollment fees and signing your contract.
I-20
Chatham Hall will issue an I-20 after the accepted student has paid enrollment fees and signed their contract.
Health Insurance
All international students are required to have United States health insurance. International students have the option to purchase insurance through Chatham Hall.
At Chatham Hall, we define an international student as:
A non-United States passport-holding student who will require an F1 visa to attend Chatham Hall.
We understand that students living outside of the United States have an additional set of requirements (e.g., transportation, local support, summer storage, and visa processing, if applicable) that we are committed to meeting.
Transportation is available to/from international airports including RDU (Raleigh, NC), GSO (Greensboro, NC), and IAD & DCA (Washington, D.C. airports), as well as local airports, train stations, and bus stations for the beginning of school, end of school, and school breaks. Students also have access to:
Summer storage for dorm room belongings
Early arrival and orientation in August
An International Student Coordinator who serves as the primary contact for both parents and students for all related needs
Visa processing and support for all years enrolled, including visa transfer to colleges and universities

There is a $2,000 international student fee. All students are responsible for supplying their own books, school supplies, and spending money throughout the year.
Each fall, new international students have the opportunity to travel domestically with the School during Fall Long Weekend. Students also have the opportunity to participate in global travel programs as offered by the School.
During school breaks, international students have the option to go home, visit family, or do a homestay with a domestic classmate’s family should a host family be available.
