The Chatham Hall Mathematics Department equips students with strong foundational mathematical skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving strategies that prepare them to approach challenging coursework in college and beyond with confidence.

.
Students gain foundational learning about functions, equations, formulas, graphs, and shapes in Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Precalculus. They learn real-world applications that can be seen in Probability, Statistics, Computer Science, and Calculus. They can choose hybrid courses Statistics and Algebraic Reasoning or Algebra, Trig, and Data Analysis, and they extend relationships between parametric functions, vectors, and three-dimensional objects that can be found in Multivariable Calculus and Linear Algebra. Throughout each course, students develop their skills so that they can be confident in their knowledge as they embark on their college coursework.
Chatham Hall’s mathematics program has classes at every level, so you can learn the basics and then dive deeper.

Our passionate department of teachers goes the extra mile during their math instruction to help every learner succeed. According to the , girls’ school graduates in the U.S. rate their confidence in their math skill abilities 10% higher than do their co-educated peers.
